مجلس جامعة الإسكندرية يحث المجتمع الأكاديمي على المشاركة الفعالة بالتصويت فـى الإنتخابات الرئاسية القادمة

• أكد الدكتور عبد العزيز قنصوه رئيس جامعة الإسكندرية، خلال انعقاد إجتماع مجلس الجامعة  يوم الثلاثاء الماضي  ٢٨ نوفمبر ٢٠٢٣، على ضرورة حث جميع منتسبي الجامعة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس والعاملين والطلاب على المشاركة فى الاستحقاق الدستوري القادم والإدلاء بأصواتهم فى الانتخابات الرئاسية أيام ١٠، ١١، ١٢ ديسمبر القادم، باعتبارها ركيزة أساسية لبناء الوطن، وإسهاما هاماً في العملية الديمقراطية، وأكد على عمداء الكليات تشجيع الطلاب ليكونوا إيجابيين، والإدلاء بأصواتهم الانتخابية بكل وضوح وشفافية، ورفع الوعي التثقيفي والسياسي لديهم للمشاركة في العملية الديموقراطية التي تشهدها الدولة المصرية، وأكد على إطلاق سلسلة من الفعاليات خلال الفترة المقبلة تتضمن قيام اتحاد طلاب الجامعة تحت إشراف الإدارة العامة لرعاية الشباب بتنفيذ نشاط طلابى بعنوان ” اعرف لجنتك .. انزل شارك .. كن إيجابياً ” يتم من خلالها توفير خدمة تحديد أماكن الاقتراع والتعرف على اللجنة الانتخابية من خلال الرقم القومى المتاحة على قاعدة البيانات الانتخابية، وذلك بهدف تعزيز الوعي وحث الطلاب على ممارسة حقهم الدستوري في اختيار رئيسهم القادم، وقيامهم بدورهم في بناء مجتمعهم بشكل بارز من خلال المشاركة في الحياة السياسية والإسهام في استكمال الانتخابات الرئاسية المقبلة.

• وفى إطار حرص الجامعة على إتخاذ خطوات جادة نحو الارتقاء بالمستوي البحثي والأكاديمي لتحقيق مستوى عالي من التميز، أكد رئيس الجامعة على الاستمرار في خطة تطوير المعامل وتقوية البنية الأساسية للعملية البحثية والتعليمية لها ورفع القدرات المعملية بها.

• ووافق المجلس على تخصيص عدد ٥٠٠ منحة دراسية بتخفيض قدره ٥٠% لطلاب الدبلومات بكلية الأعمال للعام الأكاديمي 2023/2024.

• وكرم المجلس الدكتور أحمد عادل عبد الحكيم عميد كلية طب الأسنان، بمناسبة انتهاء فترة عمادته بالكلية، مشيداً بأداءه وجهده المتميز خلال فترة عمله لخدمة الكلية.

• ووافق المجلس على إنشاء برنامج الماجستير المهني بكلية التربيـة الرياضيـة للبنات تحـت مسمـــى ” ادارة الرياضة المدرسية”.

• وافق المجلس على تجديد إتفاقية التعاون العلمي فى مجال الدراسات العليا والبحوث بين كلية السياحة والفنادق جامعة الإسكندرية والأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والنقل البحري، ومذكرة التفاهم بين جامعة الإسكندرية (كلية الصيدلة) وجامعة ميريلاند الأمريكية، وبروتوكول التعاون بين جامعة الإسكندرية (كلية الطب) والمجلس القومي للمرأة، وبروتوكول التعاون المشترك بين جامعة الإسكندرية(كلية الطب) ووزارة الداخلية ممثلة في قطاع الخدمات الطبية، وبروتوكول التعاون المشترك بين جامعة الإسكندرية(كلية التربية) وكل من مدارس صقر للغات ومؤسسة مدينة بشاير الخير وبطريركية الأقباط الأرثوذكس، وبروتوكول التعاون المشترك بين جامعة الإسكندرية (مركز تميز المياه) وكل من شركة أبو قير للأسمدة والصناعات الكيماوية وشركة مياه الشرب بالاسكندرية وشركة الصرف الصحي بالاسكندرية والمعهد القومى لعلوم البحار والمصايد، وبروتوكول التعاون المشترك بين جامعة الإسكندريـــة ( معهد البحوث الطبية) ومديرية الشئون الصحية بالاسكندرية، وتجديد الإتفاقية بين جامعة الإسكندرية ومكتبة الإسكندرية والمتعلقة بمركز الإسكندرية للدراسات الهلنستية بالمكتبة والتي تمنح جامعة الإسكندرية من خلاله دبلوم الدراسات العليا ودرجتى الماجستير والدكتوراه في الدراسات الهلنستية.

• ووافق المجلس على الإهداء المقدم من جامعة أوكلاهوما الأمريكية لكلية العلوم وهو عبارة عن جهاز علمى خاص بالكشف عن حالات الأرض والآبار المتقاطعة والمياه قيمته مليون ونصف جنيه مصري، للإستفادة العلمية منه بقسم الجيولوجيا بالكلية، والإهداء المقدم من السيد محمد شيرين حسن عباس عضو مجلس إدارة شركة سيف فارما للمستحضرات الدوائية وهو عبارة عن جهاز شعب هوائية فيديو قيمته مليون جنيه.

• ووافق المجلس على ترقية ٢٤ عضو هيئة تدريس، ١٠ إلى وظيفة أستاذ، و ١٤ إلى وظيفة أستاذ مساعد، وتعيين ١٩ مدرس، ومنح ٦٢ درجة دكتوراه، و١٠٢ درجة ماجستير في التخصصات العلمية المختلفة.

** Alexandria University Council Urges Academic Community to Actively Participate in Voting in Presidential Elections

Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, stressed during the University Council meeting, the necessity of urging all university members, including faculty members, workers and students, to participate in the upcoming constitutional entitlement and to cast their votes in the upcoming presidential elections that are taking place from the 10th until the 12th of December, as it is one of the main pillars to build the nation, and to make an important contribution to the democratic process. He emphasized that faculty deans should encourage students to be positive, cast their electoral votes clearly and transparently, and raise their cultural and political awareness to participate in the democratic process that the Egyptian state is witnessing.

Dr. Konsowa stressed the launch of a series of activities during the coming period, including the organization of an event by the Students’ Union under the supervision of the General Administration of Youth Welfare under the title “Know your Polling Station, Go Participate, Be Positive!” through which the service of identifying the location and number of each polling station is provided through the students’ national ID numbers available on the electoral database. This comes with the aim of enhancing awareness, and to urge the students to exercise their constitutional right to choose their next president, and to prominently play their role in building their society through active participation in political life and contribution to the completion of the upcoming presidential elections.

• Within the framework of the university’s keenness to take serious steps towards raising the research and academic level and to achieve a high level of excellence, the university president emphasized the continuation of the plan to develop laboratories, strengthen the infrastructure for their research and educational process, and raise their capabilities.

• The Council agreed to allocate 500 scholarships at a discount of 50% for diploma students for the academic year 2023/2024.

• The Council honoured Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdelhakim, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, on the occasion of the end of his tenure as Dean of the Faculty, praising his outstanding performance and effort during his period of work to serve the faculty.

• The Council approved the establishment of a professional master’s program at the Faculty of Physical Education for Girls entitled “School Sports Management.”

• The Council approved the renewal of the scientific cooperation agreement in the field of graduate studies and research between the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Alexandria University and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, the memorandum of understanding between Alexandria University (Faculty of Pharmacy) and the American University of Maryland, the cooperation protocol between Alexandria University (Faculty of Medicine) and the National Council for Women, the joint cooperation protocol between Alexandria University (Faculty of Medicine) and the Ministry of Interior represented by its medical services sector, the joint cooperation protocol between Alexandria University (Faculty of Education) and each of the Saqr Language Schools, Bashayer El-Khair City Foundation, and the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate.

The council also approved the joint cooperation protocol between each of Alexandria University’s Water Excellence Centre, the Abu Qir Fertilizers and Chemical Industries Company, the Alexandria Drinking Water Company, the Alexandria Sanitation Company, and the National Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries, as well as the joint cooperation protocol between the Alexandria University’s Medical Research Institute and the Directorate of Health Affairs in Alexandria, and the renewal of the agreement between Alexandria University and Bibliotheca Alexandrina, regarding the Alexandria Centre for Hellenistic Studies at Bibliotheca Alexandrina, through which Alexandria University awards postgraduate diplomas as well as master’s and doctoral degrees in Hellenistic studies

• The Council approved the donation submitted by the American University of Oklahoma to the Geology Department at the Faculty of Science, which is a scientific device for detecting the conditions of the earth, intersecting wells, and water, worth 1.5 million Egyptian pounds, and the donation submitted by Mr. Mohamed Sherine Hassan Abbas, member of the Board of Directors of Safe Pharma Pharmaceuticals Company, which is a video bronchial device worth 1 million pounds.

• The Council approved the promotion of 24 faculty members, 10 to the position of professor, 14 to the position of associate professor, the appointment of 19 lecturers, and the granting of 62 doctoral degrees and 102 master’s degrees in various scientific disciplines.
